Just started a #PhotoADay social experiment to see how easy it is to meet new people and take a simple portrait. Brittany and her son teamed up to do a Facebook Live video with Portrait Photography. Don’t mind the cameraman….he’s only 8!!!! The video includes some snippets from the Facebook Live videos with their accompanying portraits. Thanks to our brave models that gladly participated in this social experiment! And I hope you like your portraits!
Stay tuned for more!!!

The link below to an FStoppers article sheds some brilliant light into boudoir photography and what it means to be a boudoir photographer and how boudoir photography is done.
Why you may not be a Boudoir Photographer
Meet Jay and Kristin! I had the INSANE privilege of photographing (while my husband video recorded) their surprise engagement! Watch the magic unfold HERE!!! And a video at the end!!!
Jay contacted me a few weeks ago to do their engagement session… With a twist! He plotted the ENTIRE day and even sent me a MAP! LOL
What started off as a normal day for them, walking and taking some simple photos in Vander Veer Botanical Park.
Turned into the surprise of a lifetime for them…
While the mini coopers grabbed her attention, He reached into his pocket to grab her ring…
And OF COURSE she said YES!!!!
It was an ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL MOMENT!!!
Meet the mini cooper group that made their magic happen!
Congratulations Jay and Kristin! Thank you soooo much for letting us be a part of your magical day! I wish you both the BEST of LOVE!!!
NOW… Watch the magic happen!!!
Sooo today I have learned an important lesson about blogging.
BLOG ABOUT EVERY SESSION YOU DO as a photographer.
I’ve been blogging I think almost as long as I’ve owned my own Photography business.
One thing I never used to do, blog about the sessions I did.
I had held steady with roughly 2-3 Followers of my blog. But now that I have blogged about each of my sessions, my followers are also on a steady increase. Which also means more traffic to my website and social media, which will in turn eventually turn into profits with more exposure as people will finally see these and book.
Thanks to the increased exposure, people are noticing what I have out there.
And I can’t explain how good that makes me feel!
So a lesson learned… Blog about your sessions!
People want to know how well you get to know your clients!
I had the incredible experience of meeting and photographing Ms. Hendricks!
She needed a shoot done for a modeling agency she is with, and to help with promotional material for her music. Her first single “Girl Like Me“ is played on some American stations, and her second single “Show You Crazy“ is getting heavy radio play in Europe. She hasn’t been in the modeling industry for some time, because she was battling stage 3 thyroid/lymph node cancer, but she bounced back and finally found her confidence again, and wanted to get back into it…
And I MUST SAY… This girl NAILS IT!!!
Not only is she gorgeous, but she is Talented, Strong, and Intelligent! She’s the real deal guys….
And I thank you again Amber for giving me the opportunity to work with you. I hope we work together again soon!
